We can’t let April slip away without shining a light on our remarkable volunteers.

Though this year’s Volunteer Month observation is considerably quieter than usual, it’s a significant milestone here — the 40th anniversary of hospice volunteering in the Champlain Valley. In fact, three volunteers from the area’s very first training course, in the spring of 1980, remain active hospice volunteers here at Home Health & Hospice today.

We salute each of them, and every one of our dedicated volunteers, for the remarkable, caring work they carry out for our patients, our families and our community.

Their regular duties may have transformed of late, but they’re ready and waiting to return when this pandemic is behind us. We’re incredibly grateful for that, because we couldn’t do what we do without them. #VolunteersRock #ThanksHealthHeroes #VolunteerMonth
