Noyana Singers Celebrate 10 years
Noyana Singers is celebrating 10 years! Noyana Singers is a trained group of Hospice volunteers who provide songs of comfort at the bedsides of those who are nearing the end of life. The group, who are familiar and comfortable with the hospice philosophy of care, performs for people in their homes, nursing homes, hospital rooms and at the new McClure Miller UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice Respite House. Over the last 10 years, they have also sung for different occasions, such as the ground breaking ceremony for the new Respite House and UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice memorial services.
Their music covers a wide range – from hymns and folk music to old-time tunes and songs from various cultures – and can help set a restful and meditative mood to help ease the passage between life and death.
We celebrate our group of hospice singers and look forward to more years of their comforting melodies.
