A Message from Home Health & Hospice Senior Leaders on the CDC’s Updated Guidance for Health Care Workers — Changes Take Effect on Monday, June 12, 2023.
As of June 12, 2023, the UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice will begin following the updated CDC guidance (released May 8, 2023). The updated CDC guidance means that eye protection and masking are no longer universally required for our employees and volunteers as long as COVID-19 transmission in the community remains low. At Home Health & Hospice, masking and eye protection are still required if an individual (including employees, volunteers, visitors, patients, clients, residents, participants, family members and caregivers) has respiratory symptoms or is a close contact to a person with a COVID-19 infection.
