#100DaysofVNALove
There’s a trend floating around social media lately. For 100 days, a person takes the challenge to share something they love about themselves. It’s a motivation to find the positives in their life and be happy with who they are.
We liked this idea and decided to offer up a similar challenge to our staff. We’re calling it 100 Days of UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice Love (#100DaysofVNALove).
Marjorie G – Senior Housing Wellness Coordinator says, “As a UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice nurse, I do a great deal of foot care for seniors. It’s cutting toenails, treating corns and calluses, not ‘glamorous’ work, but there’s a huge need. And when the person gets her shoes back on, stands up and says, ‘Ohhh, I feel so much better. It doesn’t hurt to walk anymore!’ — it makes my day, every time.”
We started on June 22 and for 100 days, we are highlighting a different employee daily on Facebook with a photo and quote about what they love about the work they do at the UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice. Through this challenge, our community can see the faces of the UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice and see how the work we do for our community also has an impact on our staff.
If you haven’t checked it out, visit us on Facebook and share in the #100DaysofVNALove!
Charlotte B – Adult Day Program says, “I always wondered how I could give back to the community after I retired from the hospital, then I found the Adult Day Program at the UVM Health Network – Home Health & Hospice and realized this was my passion. The Adult Day Program gives me the opportunity to work with and enjoy a very special group of clients and staff that I feel blessed to have met.”
